And thanks for visiting our site. In this web presence we briefly describe ourselves and a little about Lionism together with the "We Serve!" community service motto common to Lions clubs everywhere. Our real purpose is to arouse your interest with the ultimate goal of enticing you into becoming an active member of our club.

Lions clubs are neither religious, political nor organized for business purposes. The clubs exist so that members may pool their skills, talents and resources for the betterment of the community. The Castro Lions Club was chartered in 1985 under Lions Clubs International. Since that time our members have raised and distributed over $800,000 in charitable grants to nonprofit service agencies. We welcome into membership all persons of either sex. Please email our Membership Director for more information.

Visitors are always welcome at these open meetings which consist of brief business reports, a featured speaker from a local charity, raffles, and spirited camaraderie.

Please call in advance to (415) 90-LIONS, and then join us for one of these dinner gatherings (optional - $25/person). Casual attire is the rule.
Some, but not all, of the major subject areas are found at the navigation bar on the left of each page. Previous visitors will probably wish to check the Activities page for information about recent additions and changes.
